
Amie Smith
Amie Smith, owner of Amie Bakery in Cape Cod, is the appointed President of the Retail Bakers of America. Her journey with RBA began after attending IBIE in 2019, where a class with Bronwen Weber sparked her deeper involvement—eventually leading to a board nomination from Bronwen herself. A former creative services professional, Amie brings a sharp eye for branding and a relentless drive to elevate RBA’s visibility, member engagement, and educational offerings. Known as the “Ideas Guy” at her bakery, she’s constantly generating concepts to help grow both RBA and her own business. She credits RBA with being the best investment she’s made as a bakery owner, citing the invaluable knowledge-sharing and community support it provides. With a new executive pastry chef managing her bakery, Amie operates her baking while also focusing on RBA leadership, writing a book, and helping members bring their visions to life—just as she did with her own bakery.
